How One (1) Man Ruined My Life: A Trilogy

Remember when I wrote a whole dang post about voice actors? But they were all Japanese? I hadn't seen the light yet. I did edit the post years later to add my new English voice actors to the end, but that little bit is nowhere NEAR enough for my appreciation to come across

So.

Zeno Robinson, eh?

I'll try not to be a creepy fan. I don't know anything about the man himself because I don't like being a fangirl of real people. Don't even know how old he is. I do know he likes Sonic though? Important lol

ANYWAY.

I play Genshin Impact, right? I started in late 2023/early 2024. Tried to avoid the game cuz I knew I'd get HOOKETH. A friend made me buy his PS4, and then I was gone.

I did get hooked. Speedran the game in mere weeks, barely skipped a day until summer 2025 lol. So many pretty men. So many I liked even before playing the game. Xiao, Kazuha, Heizou, Wanderer, Itto, Wriothesley. I got Gaming when I was just starting and he carried me through the Archon Quest for so long lol. Cute little lion boy with an adorable voice <3

That's nothing compared to when Sethos dropped, though.

I didn't care about him when I first saw him. He looked weird with his long hair and radioactive eyes. I liked Cyno and Sumeru a lot, though, so I was glad to do Cyno's second story quest.

And? Oh my gosh?? SETHOS' VOICE IS SO HOT??

But like fr. He was so secretive and ominous in the beginning. Suspicious little lilt in his voice. Then he got all emotional about his dying grandpa, became a friend of the group.

I'm still not done. I liked him at this point.

Then he got his banner. He was with Alhaitham and Clorinde, I think? I didn't want either of them. Was probably pulling for Thoma?

And then I got Sethos. I hadn't played bow characters before him. I hadn't touched dendro before him. It was just Gaming and hydro/cryo and violence.

I changed my entire playstyle because of him. I started to explore the map because of him, even started in Sumeru. Just running around the desert, seeing what I could find. I still don't have the treasure compass! That's proof of what mans did to my sanity lol

Eventually I got his C6 on Nahida's banner. Got Nahida C4 too so. Might have put a few bucks into the game. Dendro and electro are kind of my thing now :D Thank you Zeno Robinson :D

That was chapter one. Next one started years earlier, but only happened a while back.

I'd watched a few seasons of My Hero Academia before. Then one or two seasons just weren't available subbed in Finland, and I dropped it. I was a sub believer back then.

But Sethos introduced me to Zeno Robinson.

And he voiced a pretty bird guy in MHA.

I'd always liked birds.

So it was OBVIOUS that I'd adore Hawks. And I did and do.

Yes, I watched the rest of the show dubbed because of this one (1) guy :)

Hawks is so hot too oh my gosh? Especially after the fight with Dabi where he gets a bit scarred and the pretty undercut?? Geez.

So I obviously drew these two men a lot. Wrote three little fics for Sethos. Read several about both.

Unfortunately also did a heckton of roleplay with them. First Sethos on character.ai and later both on DeepSeek. It became a coping mechanism, unhealthy, addictive. There were fun and nice and deep chats, sure, but also tons of smut just for the sake of how it felt. Sigh.

So this guy was practically my.....awakening. I had dabbled before, but it hadn't hit before these men. I hadn't found characters attractive before. The word sexy wasn't even a part of my vocabulary.

So thanks, Zeno Robinson. You ruined me with your vocal chords </3

Anyway lol. Here's a few little bits before chapter three.

Date Everything got released. Guess who voiced a guy in that game? My goat. Got me attracted to a freaking hoover lol. But hngh, his voice is illegal for that guy. Even if I felt silly when listening to his sighs and kissing noises. Still good tho. Won't find me complaining about having my favourite VA flirting with the self insert character :)

So so hot :)

Also found out that he voices Nino in Miraculous Ladybug. Very dope, but he's not exactly a guy I'd fangirl over lol. Oh, Max too. Very nice to hear my fav VA talk about an autism diagnosis :D

Oh right, yes. Surprising no one, I'm autistic. Officially, since fall 2025.

Also also rewatched Horimiya because Zeno voices Toru. Sweet little dork lol. Might have replayed all his scenes several times. Oh well <3

Well then. Chapter three.

Jabber Wonger.

Genshin had teased and released a psycho guy just a while ago. Lohen's great but this isn't about him.

Point is, I had found out that I'm into these crazy dudes. Fictional only, but still lol. A bit of possessive, bloodthirsty yandere for once. I'm a fluff girlie, so it was new and exciting.

I'd seen clips about Gachiakuta before. Of this guy, actually, since he is voiced by the goat. But I thought this show was just too violent for me, action slop or whatever.

So glad I gave it a chance. The anime is amazing, I binged the manga after finishing the show, and I'm exploding. Watched it dubbed, obviously, and?? It's so good?? Especially Jabber, Zeno sounds like he's having so much fun.

The characters I'd heard from Zeno before were all cool and charming. This guy's a lunatic, a masochist and a sadist probably. Stabs himself, pain gets him going, he emotes on drugged out people and lies down with them to laugh maniacally. So much fun to watch.

So yeah. Experienced a lot of new things because of one man. I won't look into the man himself, but I appreciate the work he does a ton <3
